I will overwhelm 'legitimate combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round match which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time world boxing king Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he remarked.

Jake Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is truly proceeding.
